Montenegro
Rambo Amadeus will represent Montenegro at Eurovision Song Contest 2012 with a song Euro-Neuro. He is a famous singer and songwriter from Belgrade well known all over the entire former Yugoslavia. Rambo Amadeus is a stage name (a pseudonym) completed from combination of a fictional character John Rambo and a great Austrian composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, meanwhile an original name of a Montenegrin entry is Antonije Pusic.
Rambo Amadeus performs satirical songs on global and domestic themes. His music is a blend of jazz, folk, funk, rock and pop, meanwhile lyrics combine a skit derision on local politics and describing an average individual in his everyday life.
Each concert performed by Rambo Amadeus is a mix of a professional music improvisation and delicate humor. Thanks to his self-conscious, irony and at the same time – great self-confidence, all shows of a contestant from Montenegro never pass without success but amaze and charm the audience.
He calls himself “the World Mega Emperor”, his fans know him as a “charming king of jovial pop” and compare with Frank Zappa or Captain Beefheart.
On December 12th 2011, RTCG announced that Rambo Amadeus will represent Montenegro in Baku, Azerbaijan at Eurovision Song Contest 2012. Montenegro will prove the right to be number one in the first half of the first semi-final on May 22d and whether Rambo Amadeus is charming enought and thus deserve to lead the competition is up to you.
